JSON API (static, free, no key)
The dataset is prebuilt as static files—fast, cacheable and stable. Start with the dataset and CSV download page. For JSON integrations, use the endpoints below and the OpenAPI 3.1 specification.

Example
curl https://govwait.com/api/v1/entities/ca-visitor-visa--in.json For New Zealand, each visa service has separate --p50 and --p80 entities. The numeric value remains a working-day count and is labeled unit_original: "working days".
For a published range such as UDI’s 15–29 days, value_raw keeps the full official range and value_days uses its upper end for conservative comparison.
Every current-record object includes source_collection_status and source_last_verified_at. A source_unavailable record is a preserved last-verified snapshot, not a claim that GovWait recently rechecked the value.
IRCC forward-looking records use metric_type: "forward". Their cohort_month is when an application was submitted within a current IRCC snapshot—not the date IRCC published that value. Snapshot dates remain separate so the two timelines cannot be silently mixed.
For AI agents
An MCP (Model Context Protocol) server exposes search_entities, get_entity, get_latest_value and compare_values over this dataset — see the public MCP server repository for registration instructions, and /llms.txt for a machine-readable site description.
Reuse
Preserve each record's government source attribution and qualifiers. GovWait's original organization, field definitions and explanatory metadata are available under CC BY 4.0 where GovWait owns the rights; underlying government information remains subject to the source-specific terms.
2,316 routes · 7,285 forward-looking headline/cohort estimates · regenerated on every validated data refresh · values are official government publications, republished with provenance.
