Why this dataset is different
- Every value points to a primary government source. Route records preserve the official URL and retrieval timestamp.
- History is append-only. New observations are added; earlier published values are not silently replaced.
- Dates mean what they say. We use the agency's own update date when supplied. When a source has no date, a changed value receives a clearly described first-observed date.
- Different measures stay separate. Backward-looking times, forward projections, service standards and percentile measures carry distinct
metric_typevalues. - Missing answers remain honest.

Freshness and method
The current export was generated September 1, 2026. The newest official update or first-observed date represented is September 1, 2026. GovWait checks sources on a regular schedule, but each agency publishes on its own cadence. A failed source or validation check stops publication rather than producing a guessed value.
